OOOH, I am writing on this potent morning, with a New Moon storm outside. What does it mean when it's high winds at New Moon? I know of no specific legend or lore about this, though I believe it's a sign of transience and moving stagnant energy out. Eurus is the god of the southeast wind which we, in southern Maine, are experiencing today, December 23rd. Eurus brings rain and is associated with change of fortune. Be safe out there today, and bring it all your garden ornaments and furniture. Tonight, plan to be in one place and travel as little as possible as the rain will be followed by a freeze.
Bear is our messenger today, and how perfect! Bear says conserve, continue to conserve your energy and give it to only the most necessary and worthy activities. Bear has been showing up in my personal readings too, and I know her as a bringer of change. Bear has 'led me out of a building' in my dreams, and a professional shift and change of buildings followed. Let Bear show you the way to nourishment, food source, more sweetness and honey, and let Bear be a reminder to hibernate and rest between outings.
Bear also opens the portal to growth and expansion and pairs very well with Jupiter's move to Aries. What are you warming up to? What feels like a hearth for your soul. Go that way.
Our Crystal is Quartz! This is New Moon refreshment that balances energy and can either raise or lower energy as needed. Find that just right place. If you have some quartz, try resting it on an area where you feel illness or are recovering or need to balance energy. Capricorn season relates to our roots, earth, knee joints, stability, goals, and structures. This New Moon of restructuring asks us to clear what could be an obstacle or debacle (this word keeps coming up so I could not edit or use any other) in our midst, in order to free up energy for something healthier, clearer, more reliable and also profitable in the most positive sense.

Sunday December 25th ~ It's a very active, yang sort of Christmas Day as the Moon moves to Aquarius and harmonizes with Jupiter and Mars. One thing to set your mind to: do not argue or cause unnecessary anger or disagreement today, especially anything that's an old pattern or related to an old wound. The New Moon cycle may help release the old and begin a new way of doing or thinking. This is an outgoing, expansive, and social Christmas, astrologically. Being part of a family or group may feel energizing and good for the heart. If you are solo and don't celebrate, today can be optimum for learning, reading and experimenting with original ideas. Monday ~ Hanukkah comes to a close today, and Christmas has passed, and this looks like a day to get fired up, make a decision, commit to something, and be very intentional. Let others, who can support or who need to be informed, know that you are serious and will follow through. Void Moon from 1:15 pm on, as the Moon meets Saturn after squaring Uranus overnight (some of this may apply to last night in fact). Try not to act out, lash out, or misdirect energy or blame. Tuesday ~ Pisces Moon time follows the void of course Moon, and the shift occurs at 2:34 am ET. We are just two days from the official start of Mercury retrograde, though you may be feeling it already. I anticipate structural changes and significant reconnections at the onset of this retrograde in Capricorn. Today, the Moon aligns with the Capricorn Sun in an angle that tends to make things easy or even rapid. Match feelings with actions and vice versa. In the evening, Mars squares the Moon and could lead to moodiness such as feeling unexpectedly out of sorts. Or maybe this sparks unexpected feelings that awaken emotions inside that you weren't quite aware of before. Wear Green.
Wednesday ~ Pisces Moon is full of action today, aligning with planets in Capricorn and Taurus and meeting Neptune in Pisces. These aspects promote positive feelings and uplifting interactions. Again today, be aware of your emotions and actions matching and let your intuition flow and guide you. It's a good day to build in meditation time, yoga, downtime, and any kind of cool down between holiday weekends. Venus and Neptune favor romance and personal connections. Thursday ~ The Pisces Moon aligns with Pluto before moving void or course at 1:21 am ET. It's a meditative, reflective moment and may inspire dreams, intuition and emotional awareness. You do not have to be awake to receive this influence. Void Moon time from then to 5:36 am ET. Aries Moon meets Jupiter and the impulse to learn, move and take action will be strong. The Sun and Mars, both fire element in their nature, both interact with the Moon today. Being progressive, assertive and full of ideas and plans may come naturally. Balance this so it does not become impulsiveness. Capricorn Sun reminds us to have some sort of plan or structure to follow.

Mercury, Venus and Pluto square the Moon between 1 am and 7:44 am ET. This indicates challenges, possibly obstacles and things to be sorted out internally and with others, both. Quiet dates, intimate conversations and sharing, and future planning for partners is favored. Companionship and love may feel very important tonight and into New Years Day.
