Monday: Leo Moon

This Leo Moon is extra amped up by Mars in Libra and Uranus in Aries. An adventurous attitude and willingness to let go and have fun will be an asset. Get in the mix and be open to people. Enthusiasm rules the day! You may see some sour faces as the Moon and Saturn square, however today is not worth losing to Saturn retrograde's heavy pull since Saturn moves direct in 3 weeks and until then some things just will not budge very much.  Instead of trying to move a mountain, climb one! Seek victories through collaborations, networking, and showing your best side, skills and talents. You can choose to sit this one out because of a looming problem, but you may miss a great day if you go that route.  Today is meant for surprises and friendliness. Art projects & improv are good plans too. Today's color is orange.

Tuesday: Mercury Direct

The Moon in Leo is void of course from 6:00 am EDT to 5:24 pm. Mercury, in harmony with the Moon, stations direct at 8:50 am in Gemini. This is a true transitional day as the Moon changes signs and Mercury re-routes (at least from our earthly perspective). Wait something out today. Take your time and maybe even find a few hours off to wander, meditate, nap, or enjoy a favorite and calming pastime. Keep business simple. Try not to be taken aback by announcements of changes and don't assume they will even take hold, yet. Giving it a few days before feeling like Mercury is direct and minds are re-set is a good idea.  Fun is recommended today! Virgo Moon arrives at 5:24 pm EDT and work may find it's way into the evening. That includes cleaning the house or helping out a friend or family member who needs you. It's a good night to get reorganized.  Today's color is brown.

Wednesday: Virgo Moon

The Moon aligns with the Cancer Sun and with Pluto in Capricorn. These are sensible and nurturing influences. Take care of priorities and people who mean the most to you. Helping out a neighbor or friend is favored by Virgo Moon. The Moon opposite Neptune has a versatile, slightly spacey influence. This is good for daydreaming and can lead to ideas and plans to be pursued in the future. Give attention to detail and the finer intricacies of your art, wording or science as the Moon and Venus in Gemini square. An element of perfectionism is present and in some cases may lead to critique or criticism. Assume every detail will be noticed.  Be creative with constructing, repairing, and designing! Neptune has a colorful, offbeat influence on Virgo Moon's sense of order and clean lines. Blend structure with versatility by taking the usual tried and true and adding or recreating for a new look or result.  Today is a good day for experimenting. Wear indigo blue.

Thursday: Virgo Moon

The Moon harmonizes with Saturn and squares Mercury. Choose all wording carefully, in writing and in conversation or meetings. You may be rewriting, revising or editing work done in June now that Mercury is direct.  Make sure you're understood clearly. Set things up for final resolution in late July or August. That may include real estate or family business for Leo and something else financial for Aries or Libra. Scorpio, a big breakthrough may be coming in a very stubborn area of your life.  Getting the support people or working parts in order is a good idea this week. Scorpio, do some networking and get leads from friends today. Even vacationers may find reasons to do business, make concerted efforts in important areas, and have messages and news to respond to before the U.S. holiday weekend. A flexible approach and timetable is best. Keep your mind open. Things shift and solidify as July goes on. The pre-game is now.  Today's color is yellow.

Friday: Libra Moon

The Moon is void of course from 12:21 am to 5:43 am EDT and then in Libra, sign of balance and partnership. Save decisions until the Moon is solidly in Libra versus those v.o.c. hours. The Cancer Sun opposes Pluto today. Interesting, sometimes past or deeply forgotten, things come up when Pluto is at work. Old patterns, fears or the revelation of hidden information is in the forecast today. You may express what you suppressed in the past. This can make for surprise announcements. Try to stay realistic and don't expect all results or responses at once. Some situations (or people) will be dramatic in nature.  Airing emotional things out is generally necessary at some point, but initially it may cause friction or mixed responses. Try to be sensitive as the Sun is in a sensitive and sometimes defensive sign, Cancer. Today's color is white.

Saturday: Libra Moon conjunct Mars

Mars will be in Libra only until July 25th, but it's been a long haul including weeks of retrograde and retracing. The sign of partnership and legal matters, Libra, has stirred up those areas and for a while put action and decisions on hold. This is one of those days when Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn, Mars, the Moon and Sun hit 4 points in a cross pattern and this can put you at odds with someone, force a revisiting of unfinished business and bring up sensitive subjects.  There's volatile energy in the air so breathe and think before reacting and avoid short tempered people. Maintain control of your own impulses and responses to people. On the plus side, the Moon and Venus are social and oriented to gatherings including new friends and people you've not yet met. Today's color is lavender.

Sunday: Scorpio Moon

Void of course Moon is from 11:31 am to 3:33 pm EDT. The Moon moves to Scorpio then. The Libra Moon harmonizes with Mercury in Gemini continuing the social vibe and also giving us the urge to purchase and negotiate deals. That's best done outside the void of course hours.  The Moon also squares Jupiter with a bit if any hangover from conflicts yesterday though Jupiter can help those resolve at least temporarily, if you're willing. Scorpio Moon after 3:33 pm leads more of us to quiet time to take care of whatever personal business or errands we let go over the holiday weekend.  Tonight is is bit more introverted and can help us get re-focused, organized or spend time with closest companions.  Wear maroon today.

Monday: Void of Course Moon in Libra, Scorpio Moon, Mercury trine Mars

Mercury makes an attempt at action and decision, forming an agreeable trine at 12:02 pm EDT. Yet Mars is on hold in Libra until the 19th. Do engage in the conversations that can lead to change, resolution and un-sticking the sticky points! Just prepare to wait a few more days before the true negotiating and steps of a final plan happen more easily when Mars is direct late next Monday. Simple decisions and networking will happen readily today. The Moon is void of course so take the bigger stuff off the table and get the easy things done. Work together and brainstorm. The Scorpio Moon moves in at 9:07 pm EDT and the Full Moon warmup is on for Wednesday. This one contains after vibes from last month's eclipse, and will occur in Scorpio at 3:16 pm EDT on Wednesday afternoon. Scorpio takes hold and doesn't give in. Be ready to make long term commitments if they happen this week. Today's color is maroon.

Tuesday: Scorpio Moon

Scorpio Moon aligns with Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces. The common element is spirituality, seeing beyond the ordinary, and going to the depths of whatever's in your midst. We do not take things lightly on this day before Full Moon. Mystery and understanding simultaneously fill the atmosphere. You may come to a new understanding of someone, or of yourself. Mysteries may be solved. Some will be able to finally move on from a negative situation, from grief or loss, or from what ever was holding them back. Work creatively and practically both! There are dualities at work with dreamy Neptune helping us see potentials and envision and Pluto facing us with realities and what's buried deep inside. Unleash something that will make you feel lighter and free. Make long term decisions if the conditions are right. Get intuitive advice and trust your gut. Today's color is blue. 

Wednesday: Full Moon in Scorpio

This Full Moon is an interesting one, with Saturn nearby and retrograde, and Jupiter in Cancer totally supportive. A push pull effect is the result. Jupiter encourages expansion in ways of thinking, business, home and family. Jupiter represents openness while Saturn retrograde in stubborn Scorpio is all about the brakes on. Keep on with plans for growth and change even if you have to take small steps while Saturn finishes a retrograde on July 20th. Look for the long term plan and don't settle for less than you need right now. Some things will come unstuck sooner, Mars related, shifting in Libra on May 19th. So maybe what you decide on now, you will be ready to move on soon. Venus tangles with Pluto bringing up the deep and maybe complex aspect of relationship. Venus is in flirtatious initiator Aries and Pluto in Capricorn is giving Venus a questionable look. Be careful about giving up what you have for someone "new and shiny" and try not to slide into old patterns that involve secrecy and infidelity. There's a tendency to reveal secrets, discover affairs, and be tempted during this Full Moon in passionate Scorpio, also a sign that takes revenge seriously and holds onto any disloyalty or injustice for a long long time. Forgiveness is tough to find at this time. Play it safe in relationship. Long term relationships that are thriving can find newness and intensity now. In business, be very sure of anything you agree to. After May 19th, the zodiac is more agreeable to partnership plans and contracts (briefly before Mercury retrogrades June 7th to July 2nd). The Full Moon is at 3:16 pm and the Moon moves void of course then until 1:44 am Thursday. Today's color is gold. 

Thursday: Sagittarius Moon

Sagittarius Moon expands where the Scorpio Moon might have contracted or placed pressure. Freedom in thinking and therefore action is today's shift and the planets are cooperating. Expect to hear news about couples and partners as Venus works from Aries to bring in the new! Reuniting, moving in together, engagements and other relationships changes are spotlighted with Venus in harmony with Mercury and meeting Uranus. Some of this may be very surprising at first! Big talks and plans between partners and lovers is in the forecast too, with Mercury and Venus aligned. Be ready for your significant other to bring up the important topics now. The good news is that it looks exciting, refreshing and adventurous. Sagittarius Moon also favors travels and new ideas today. Wear pink today.

Friday: Void of Course Moon

The Moon is void of course in Sagittarius making it a good time for flexible plans. If you need to do a certain thing at a particular time, that will be more of a challenge. Today is designed for free thinkers, plenty of space, and being either in routine or completely going for a change of scenery. Decisions and plans are likely to change. Be spontaneous. Try something different, but with no commitment to adopt it and no preconceived ideas. The Moon is opposite Mercury. Agree to disagree rather than debate. Gemini and Sagittarius, you can be convincing today. Full Moon news and surprises still polka dot the forecast. Today's color is yellow.

Saturday: Capricorn Moon

The Moon is in earth sign Capricorn and the Sun is in Taurus until the 20th. Earth signs bring it right down to details, effort and results, and the pleasures of the senses. Work hard and reap the rewards. Show the results of your work. Interview for a new job or present a project you've been involved with. Today is meant for the ambitious. The Moon and Neptune inspire creativity. Mars in Libra squares the Moon and agreeing on how to carry out a plan is up for debate. Agreement may be easier after the 19th with Mars direct again, helping projects that include building, exercise, business involving physical wellness, partnerships, and couples.  Have a constructive day! Wear green.

Sunday: Capricorn Moon conjunct Pluto & opposite Jupiter

The heavens are full of aspects involving the Moon and a square between Venus and Jupiter as well. Plenty of things are up for discussion and some significant decisions are pending. Venus square Jupiter is a push to work out a family or relationship matter so that all parties are satisfied. Renew family relationships with some effort, and be willing to take it slow. Cancer and Capricorn are favored for a close look at relationship, commitment and how to grow in relationship and home life while keeping career goals clear. Aries and Libra, focus is on the career and home front and finding balance there or going all the way in one or the other. For example, you may decide to move away for career. Or this could manifest as a decision to stay home and take care of the children. We'll be mulling major things over that could not be totally resolved at Full Moon time this month. Tomorrow is the last day of Mars retrograde, and Tuesday through June 1 are good decision making times. Today's color is black. 

May 19th to 25th

Monday: Mars direct, Aquarius Moon

The Moon moves to Aquarius at 5:58 am (void of course 3:02 am EDT until then). The Moon harmonizes with the Sun and Mars, adding the fire of motivation and inspiration. This can help if you need deal with something you've been procrastinating about. New ideas are all around with Mercury in Gemini for possibilities. The Moon aligns with Mars in Libra just as the brave warrior planet prepares to move direct at 9:31 pm. This is good for things you need to get going right away. Aquarius Moon provides the vision and the order to go forth as Mars regroups to retrace degrees of Libra. Monday's color is red.

Tuesday: Sun in Gemini

The Aquarius Moon aligns with Uranus and Venus in Aries. Uranus is Aquarius's ruling planet, inventive and rebellious. Mars is now direct and prepared to move forward in Libra. Venus is Libra's planet, relating to love and partnerships as well as beauty and harmony. It's all very connected today and therefore, things pending may come together, even if slowly! Saturn in Scorpio is still sticking with the retrograde well into July, and is in stubborn square to the Moon today. Aquarius Moon is strong though, and willful. The fire and air energy may rise above Saturn in watery Scorpio. If it's time to move forward, the part left behind can be dealt with later in the summer. You can't wait forever or for everyone.  Mercury and Venus favor working together and coming up with many ideas including "the one". The Sun changes signs at 10:59 pm for the 3rd phase of spring and Gemini birthdays. The Moon is void of course from 6:21 pm to 8:18 am. Wednesday: Pisces Moon

The Moon is in Pisces as of 8:18 am and it's the 4th quarter Moon, a time of review and reconsideration before next week's important New Moon. I label it important since Mercury retrograde will be active days later and during the New Moon in late July. If you plan to initiate something, make a significant purchase or try to establish a relationship, now is good. Once we get to June 1st we're into degrees Mercury will retrace. Some may say give a couple of days before June 1st, but I'm calling it June 1 as your "deadline" for starting anything. Otherwise, it's after July 2nd, if you can wait. Pisces Moon meets Neptune mellowing our approach. You might surrender to something and give up or alternatively see the positive and look past the surface. Do be cautious with trusting people not well known to you. We can be sweet talked on a day like this. The Moon and Gemini Sun have a flexible, anything goes influence and sometimes we lack direction at times like this. Maybe you'll float through happily or possibly feel confused if no direction is totally clear or strong.  Today's color is blue.

Thursday: Pisces Moon

The Moon aligns with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. Each of those planets has it's own strong influence. Jupiter tends to be open and expansive, Saturn the opposite implying boundaries and rules. Pluto relates to the deep, inner feelings and meaning and is transformative. This Pisces Moon can bring up emotions for clearing or healing while encouraging us in love, family relationships and bringing order where it's overdue. Get a handle on a sensitive situation. Go beyond wallowing in problems and begin to see promise now or ahead.  Today is about possibilities and seeing a new side of a situation, person or your self.  Wear indigo blue.

Friday: Aries Moon

The void of course Moon in Pisces is 2:25 am to 12:01 pm EDT and those are good hours to be sleeping! I expect dream states will be hyper-active and lucid dreams may come. it's also a good time for meditation, prayer and other calming and universal forms of connection. The Aries Moon beginning at 12:01 (adjust for time zone) is in harmony with the Gemini Sun, active both mentally and physically. The biggest challenge may be to sit still or be patient! We'll want movement and quick results.  It's more of a party night than date night. Meet new friends and old. Today's color is orange.

Saturday: Aries Moon conjunct Uranus opposite Mars

Before we explore Aries Moon action, let's talk Jupiter trine to Saturn. The extremely different qualities of these planetary energies, working together, can be very effective for taking inspiration to something tangible and sustainable. Saturn constricts & focuses while Jupiter expands & opens. Saturn can be restrictive or stern while Jupiter is healing and fortunate, generally. The combination is like getting the best support from two sources that caution you and encourage you, both. If you're looking for a long term solution, most likely to an ongoing old problem or situation that's been burdensome or prevented you from moving forward in life, this might be what you need. Saturn is retrograde so it could take time even if you get the idea, the support or see the clear path now. The retrograde could also allow movement forth and solutions now if you're revisiting old business. The Aries Moon is a challenging one opposing Mars in Libra bringing us face to face with problems and our differences. Uranus adds that element of surprise and suddenness. Do be careful out there this week and try not to let stress come out in anger or rage. Assume that everyone is fighting their own battle and some won't cope as well as others. Provide the calm force or the fun alternative. With oppositions and squares in cardinal signs, this is one of "those days" or weekends. Summon up courage and understanding. Today's color is indigo.

April 21st to April 27th, 2014

Monday: Capricorn Moon, Uranus square Pluto

Uranus square Pluto and if there's a cycle you're just plain tired and done with, this is probably one of the trigger points. It's been active for days and peaks today, waning as April ends. This is about a larger cycle, not just one day or week. For about 11 more months, we experience this upheaval of a square. This is why your circumstances keep changing and once you think you've made the appropriate move or decision, there's something else to face. The next time it rears it's influence is during the holidays, December particularly, and then in March next year. My advice is try to find the message as in what do you need to face within yourself and what are you attempting to control that you can't change. And also to find the humor or bring some laughter and lightness in because that is in fact always available even if only through the irony or through a related memory. Find something to smile about. Capricorn Moon is playing well with Venus and Saturn. Don't let power struggles and control issues get the best of you. This can be a very productive, confident day. Be cautious with things like contracts or orders than need to be carried out. Make sure you understand the directions. Mercury in Aries squares the Moon this evening meaning more action in the hot spots, Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra. Family, career obligations or changes, fairness and legalities and how to grow and prosper are all issues for discussion, debate and consideration.  The Moon is void of course from 7:21 pm on and details are more likely to be lost and forgotten then. Tuesday: Aquarius Moon, Mars square Jupiter

Mars square Jupiter is part of the picture painted in last night's forecast and is also in the opposite signs of the Uranus/Pluto square at work this week. Take a deep breath. Mars is retrograde until May 19th. Justice may not be easy to find and action not as effectively taken before then. Still, there are things to be dealt with. Do as much as you can without expecting full results quite yet. Fairness and equality are key issues. Cancer, home or family need to be a priority though career related things are keeping you busy and also ever changing this season. Gemini, be careful where money is concerned and don't overextend yourself. Libra, step back a bit and see if you can be objective or get a broader perspective. Aquarius Moon helps us all with that more global, less centric point of view. Aquarius Moon also sheds light on ideas and today it might be about what's not really necessary. Is there something you can let go of or some idea you're  holding onto that's not worth your energy? Are you part of a social or work group that's too draining and can you change that? Be careful tonight! It's a social night on one hand, but on another Mars is opposite Uranus and that looks ominous and potentially unsafe.  Lots of unpredictable energy may create a feeling of being on edge or anxious. Wednesday: Mercury in Taurus, Mars opposes Uranus and squares Pluto

Mars is opposite Uranus, continuing the influence of the cross in the cardinal signs. The Moon and Saturn also square off. These squares are challenges at best. Manage stress, anxiety, and reactivity in order not to add to whatever is throwing things off course. Some people will not be able to do that effectively and it's likely to be the biggest problem of all. From drama to outrage to grieving, anything is to be expected. Between eclipses, the universe is dealing some more wild cards that change the whole picture. Have your plans for maintaining composure or for stepping back from things for a while. As of 5:16 am EDT, Mercury in Taurus nudges us to think long term in all our decisions and commitments. Act on plans for more abundance and more security including business decisions and home or work upgrades. If you are fortunate not to be impacted much by the cardinal cross action, you can really take advantage of a super productive time to concentrate on grounding, better health habits, and building from the ground up literally or metaphorically. Thursday: Pisces Moon

This week needed a peace & love day. Pisces Moon helps with compassion, reconnection, and reminds us there is some greater purpose and spirit to life and even death. Pisces Moon stimulates intuition and the artist within. The Moon meets Neptune, ethereal and watery and good for a trip to the beach or lake. Boating and fishing are ruled by this Moon/Neptune meeting. The Sun and Mercury in Taurus give us some grounding, especially in satisfying work, projects and decisions. Heart to heart and sincere communication are favored today. Give yourself time to process. Connect with like minded people. Make progress in a steady, step by step manner. Tonight is good for romance, arts events, and music. Today's color is green.

Friday: Pisces Moon, Sun conjunct Mercury, Venus trine Saturn

Today is loaded with planetary, Sun & Moon aspects, mainly involving the signs Pisces and Taurus. The Sun meets Mercury in Taurus and in some cases final decisions and commitments will be made or announced.  Keep in mind, a Taurus eclipse next week may impact decisions with new developments or awareness, but otherwise this is a decent time to have your mind set in a direction with solid plans backing you up. Some very definitive things will be discussed and said as the weekend starts, tomorrow as well as today. Leo, this is a solid and strong career influence for you. Scorpio, this may come from your significant other and both Scorpio and Capricorn this relates to relationships and your commitment to them.  Taurus, all of the above can be influenced as the Sun and Mercury meet in your sign, and friends and allies play a part with the Pisces planets and Moon supporting. Pisces, expect family news and reasons for travel to be with people you care about.  Venus and Saturn align and we'll be trying to get a handle on anything unresolved in relationships as well as harness creative energies. Saturday: Aries Moon, Mercury sextile Neptune

Just days before the eclipse in Taurus, it's a time for reevaluating, taking inventory, and forming a flexible plan for going forward. It's natural not to quite know what direction to go in right now, but at least try to define your vision. Aries Moon and sitting still do not go well together. Find something to do! Mercury and Neptune are still working that inspired, creative spirit. Art, gardening, music, and any kind of self expression and channeling of emotions into constructive work is favored. Today's color is red.

Sunday: Aries Moon 

There's a long void of course Moon in Aries from 7:02 am EDT until Monday at 10:23 am. Keep this day simple and especially non confrontational. The Moon and Uranus have a newsworthy conjunction overnight that can inspire a great idea or bring unanticipated news. As we build to a solar eclipse at 2:14 am EDT, we might welcome a "dull moment" yet not get one. Don't overexert in work or workouts, and wear safety gear and equipment for work or sports for sure! Take your time. Pressuring other people is a no no too. The Sun and Neptune are in harmony and enhance collaborative or solo projects that require imagination and expressiveness, color and design. Dream up something great and begin to work or play at it! Keep serious business to an absolute minimum. Today's color is gold.
