Sunday~ The Moon is nearly Full. Today, Taurus Moon meets Uranus, planet that disrupts the balance & requires changes of plans and other adaptiations as well as tranformations. Neptune and Pluto add reflective qualities. While Neptune lends imagination, Pluto acknowledges the deep, inner knowing and experience. Create art, reorganize, do something differently, and let your mind be spacious and free. Meditation may be helpful as is tuning out 'the noise'. Friday~ Mercury moves to Capricorn, a practical place for the planet of communication, words and planning. From 9:31 am on, Mercury spends some time in Capricorn before the retrograde begins on the 13th and moves back to Sagittarius on the 23rd. Finish holiday shopping particularly for items being shipped, things of a technical nature, and anything you're slightly unsure about. Save all receipts and know the return options before you buy. Cancer Moon gives way to Leo energy at 11:00 am after about 3 hours void of course. The morning may be quieter or more home oriented and the day expands from there, with fire element taking over as the Moon and Mars form a nighttime trine at 9:48 pm ET. New Moon breezed through on Friday the 24th. This week brings upward rising energy and no major shifts. We finish January with Sun and Mercury in Aquarius, Venus and Neptune in Pisces, Mars in Sagittarius & Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This week and next lead toward Leo Full Moon. Eclipse time is done but the effects and responses vibrate until then.

Hope this winter finds you well! I teach a new class at TULA in South Portland, Maine on Wednesdays beginning February 5th. It's Ropes, Slings and Chairs and it's really fun while also opening, strengthening and helping flexibility and range of movement. Expect to build trust in yourself and the wall as you go upside down, similar to aerial yoga but with a sling or hanging out over a yoga chair in a backbend. It's not all inverted though, you can also fly, opening the heart with feet firmly planted on the wall and your hips secure in the yoga sling. Tuesday: Pisces Moon meets Venus and Neptune. Create beauty, reflect thoughtfully. Immerse in love and romance. There are also contrasting influences such as Moon square to Mars and Mars square to Neptune which could find us in conflict with others or internally. This may involve hopes and dreams and how to carry them out. Meditation or other quiet alone time may be helpful today. Void Moon begins at 8:08 pm EST until 6:51 am EST. Wear Blue.

Wednesday: Aries Moon from 6:51 am EST through part of Friday. Aries means action, pushing forward, starting anew. The Moon aligns with Sun in Aquarius overnight tonight for inventive and outgoing approaches. It's a good day to brainstorm ideas or give something a try. New experiences are favored. Reach out to someone you'd like to collaborate with or receive support from. Red is today's color.

Thursday: Aries Moon joined forces with the Sun to light our fire for new things, positive changes, and original ideas. A trine between the Moon and Mars fuels that fire. Mars in Sagittarius and Moon in Aries settle for nothing less that action, risk taking (careful with that!), and get up and go attitude. The Moon also squares Jupiter in Capricorn, a reminder to stay grounded and realistic as you embark on any new venture. Have a little earth sense with all that fire! Today's color is Orange.

Monday: Libra Moon void of course

Monday void of course Moon lasts until 11:02 pm ET in Libra. Randomness of events and thoughts will be common. Lack of focus and flitting from one thing to another or multitasking characterize a void Moon in air sign Libra.  Distractions can lead to errors or loss of balance. Watch your steps. It's a good day to wear sensible shoes and drive very reasonably. There are no aspects between the Moon and planets today.  It's time for preparation and considering all perspectives and options for a significant, decisive New Moon on the 11th. Today's color is maroon.

Tuesday: Scorpio Moon, Sun sextile Jupiter, Mercury sextile Pluto

Three harmonious angles grace this day before New Moon. Decisions with long lasting impact are due, and Mercury aligns with Pluto for organizing the information and sequence of events. The Moon will meet Mercury tomorrow and this is a productive, useful precursor. Determine your own fate today. If you've been avoiding the inevitable, resign yourself to taking action very soon. The Sun in harmony with Jupiter is positive for growth in relationships and business propositions, both. Though Sun and Jupiter are bubbly and optimistic, inclined to promises and magnificent plans, their sign placements now add sensible, serious tone to agreements and opportunities. Try to be sure of what you want right now. Define your terms and expect to follow all the way through with any piece involving time, expectations and responsibilities to be fulfilled.  This is true beyond today, through the next two weeks. Wednesday: New Moon in Scorpio, Moon conjunct Mercury

The Moon meets Mercury for important conversations and agreements. It's time to solidify and move forward with a plan. Announcements change the landscape, perhaps at work for Libra or Gemini, in long term relationship for Taurus and in family matters for Leo.  New Moon at 12:47 pm, always conjunct the Sun, is also strongly influenced by Jupiter in Virgo. Health is a huge area for decisiveness and positive action.  All of yesterday's forecast can be reread as Jupiter, the Sun, Pluto and Mercury set things up for final decisions. The Moon aligns with Pluto today as well.  This New Moon is significant for promises, even to yourself.  Things put in place and acted on now are considered binding and difficult to reverse. Commitments will be made this week. If you move, buy property, become engaged, accept a new position (possible examples), expect to be with your new situation long term. Today's color is white. 

Thursday: Scorpio to Sagittarius Moon, Mars in Libra

First of all, reread Tuesday and Wednesday since all of those aspects are relevant and in  motion now.  Add to that as the Moon moves to Sagittarius and meets Saturn, the ruler of maturity, seniority and wisdom.  The Moon is only void from 9:54 to 10:14 am ET. Scorpio Moon aligns with Mars then, just before Mars shifts to Libra at 4:41 pm ET. Mars in Virgo is directly involved and good for doing, building and problem solving this morning.  Mars will not be quite comfortable in Libra, as Mars is the warrior and Libra the neutral, non confrontational sign.  Venus, happy in Libra, aligns with the Sagittarius Moon for love and adventure combined.  Today's color is red. 

Friday: Venus sextile Saturn, Mercury sextile Jupiter

Many things come together easily as planets align. The Venus/Saturn combination favors relationship agreements and coming to certain terms you will abide by.  There's both justice and freedom in this equation. Doing what's responsible as part of a partnership requires commitment, yet frees you from worry or the stress of trying to find consensus.  Mercury is also about contracts and terms, aligned with Jupiter in Virgo for the "how to" of the matter. Figure out the steps to take and outlining a sequence or flow chart under these aspects.  Venus is less romantic and more practical today.  Fairness is key throughout discussions and decisions.  The Moon also aligns with Uranus and squares Jupiter. Saturday: Capricorn Moon square Mars in Libra

The Moon is void of course until 7:21 pm ET and then in Capricorn. Take care of routine tasks and communications rather than the "big stuff. Adventures and weekend type fun are favored too.  Capricorn Moon and Mars indicate challenges in situations where work or responsibilities are not yet sorted out fairly. The result may be passive aggressive and plenty of complaining but perhaps not to the right person.  Deal with authority issues where something needs to be resolved, if you can handle it calmly that is.  Today's color is brown.

Sunday: Capricorn Moon

The Moon is in ambitious Capricorn. If you're not feeling successful right now, you could come down quite hard on yourself.  There's a need for leadership this weekend and if that's lacking, the workplace, family or group might be feeling down.  If leadership is in place, Neptune adds to the flair and creativity of being in charge. Try not to flee a situation that could benefit from your abilities and skills. Contribution is important to how we all feel a few days into the lunar cycle.  Did you get excited, then disappointed or burned out quickly? See if you can revive a good, solid plan if you're job hunting or trying to pull a  purposeful group together.  Moon squares Venus and meets Pluto. Anything goes this week. Live in the moment as much as possible.

Sunday: Lunar Eclipse in Aries

The Full Moon in Aries is an eclipse happening tonight at 10:51 pm EDT (in some time zones it's on Monday technically). The eclipse affects much more than a day. Mercury retrograde is almost directly opposite, in Libra. Saturn in Sagittarius in harmony with the Full Moon lends some stability while also advising wise action only.  The eclipse signals completions, endings, relocations, and progressive change. All of this is slowed and perhaps complicated by Mercury retrograde. Discovering permanent solutions will be easier mid October and beyond.  The eclipse will prompt experimentation and possibly rash moves. Choice of words is extremely important if the situation calls for clarity and no question. We'll be going back in time to resolve things that need to be set right. But expect this to be a process, not a quick fix.  Uranus is close to the Full Moon, in the same sign, and gives a spontaneous or impulsive nature to eclipse activity.  Eclipse effects are not always predictable. Monday: Aries Moon opposite Mercury retrograde

With the Moon, freshly eclipsed, opposite Mercury retrograde in Libra and square to Pluto, ready to meet Uranus (the destroyer and re-creator), let struggles go, avoid forcing or trying too hard, and find a peaceful but productive way to spend the day. It's one of those days when you might be better off unplugged. Things are changing so rapidly, and with Mercury retro it's likely there's not enough correct information to act effectively with.  Don't be taken off guard or lose your cool. The upside to this day is the spontaneity, inventiveness, and freedom that the waning Aries Moon brings.  Not everyone will be ready for that kind of energy though. Realize others are struggling to catch their breath during this fiery eclipse time. Be compassionate.  Live without judgment. Find middle ground or allow a brief stalemate, a neutral time, in one on one relationships experiencing conflict. Orange is today's color.

Tuesday: Aries to Taurus Moon

Void of course Moon in Aries from 3:45 am to 2:57 pm EDT is not the time to hammer out an agreement or tackle a long term problem or a sensitive conversation. The exception is a peaceful talk where you have to make an excuse or apology without making too big a deal of it. Avoid any drama. Confusion is characteristic for the void Moon hours, and even more-so than usual today.  Moon in Taurus from 2:57 pm changes the game, meets Mars, and results in burst of productive energy. Create, cook, work outdoors, and enjoy the company of another, even if you're just listening to music or reading side by side. A quiet night might be called for since there's an abundance of wild energy, excitement, and eclipse related news. Today's color is brown.

Wednesday: Sun conjunct Mercury retro, Moon trine Jupiter/Pluto

A trine in the earth signs is constructive. Projects, building, growing, and taking small steps to resolve things are all favored. Break problems down into small pieces. Find satisfaction in getting one thing done well.  Don't expect or ask for a long term decision. It's not time yet. The Sun meets Mercury for socializing, and more deeply for forgiveness and reunions. Thursday: Gemini Moon opposes Saturn, squares Mars

The Moon is void of course from 6:44 am to 4:03 pm EDT. Void Moon impacts judgment, the conditions for getting things done, and sense of time. Today may feel like a waiting game. The key is to not expect answers during these hours, and instead do simple tasks that require only your innate skill.  It's a good vacation day.  The Moon moves to Gemini and goes on to square Mars and oppose Saturn in Sagittarius. These are tough conditions for settling arguments or anything oppositional. If you do make an agreement, Saturn's involvement makes the terms very serious. Monday: Venus squares Saturn, Mars trine Pluto

The Moon is in Aries in harmony with Jupiter in Gemini for new ideas.  Big plans and inspirations we want to act on quickly are born of Aries and Gemini energies combined! Today talk about things even as you try to sort them out.
