Mars Retrograde & Halloween Astrology ~ October 30th-November 5th, 2022

Sunday ~ Mars retrograde begins at 9:26 am ET. This cycle can be a time to examine anger and conflict, healthy assertiveness and ability to take action, and/or toxic reactiveness and overreactiveness. Mars retrograde in Gemini particularly applies to words, communication, messages and statements or slogans and the way news is delivered and projected. Aggression and deception and how they can be interrelated is also implied. Mars is retrograde from today through January 12, 2023, in Gemini all the way. Tune in to your motivation and what drives you throughout the retrograde and avoid acting out of anger or toxi feelings like envy or revenge. Today, Capricorn Moon aligns with Uranus and Neptune. Things may happen quickly, including speedy resolutions to problems or abrupt changes of plan or situation. What you thought was happening may be quite different from reality. Wear Green.

Monday ~ Happy Halloween, Samhain, and tomorrow, Day of the Dead aka All Souls Day. This is a marker of seasonal change, colder nights, end of the harvest, and oncoming winter. Remember and honor ancestors and the deceased in your own way this week. We are also between two eclipses and many things may be shifting or feel surreal or uncertain. Capricorn Moon helps with focus and tasks this morning, and is also meditative and reflective with Pluto influence. At 11:14 am the Moon meets Jupiter newly in Pisces, and retrograde, and may signal opportunity presenting in revised or revisited way, such as a job you were passed over for becoming open again or a program you were waitlisted for finally accepting your application. Give or receive hands on healing or bodywork. Void Moon only until 11:43 am ET, so less than half an hour. Aquarius Moon for the rest of Halloween, with a square to Mercury in Scorpio, so plans may change or be somehow stalled. Have Plan B and C ready for whatever the day and evening hold. Wear Silver.

Tuesday~Aquarius Moon square to the Sun and Venus. Relationships of all kinds are implicated. People may not be agreeable in person or willing to compromise readily in groups. Both are very stubborn signs at times, and we may notice or experience everyone thinking they know best and better than others. The Moon also squares Uranus. It may not be worth pushing through, and instead it could be a day to retreat, work on personal vision, draw, learn, read, investigate, and surround yourself with easygoing souls. The Moon and Saturn meet in the evening and this is also serious and maybe authoritative. Stay focused on what you can control or influence rather than what feels blocked and impossible. Wednesday ~ Aquarius Moon aligns with Mars retrograde in Gemini. Expect confusion and ask questions. Try to see into situations and examine motivations. If you have a questionable feeling, trust that. Words may get some into trouble. Group work may be especially impacted. Void Moon 7:08 am to 2:46 pm ET. Moon in Pisces with no aspects. Keep healthy boundaries later in the day and evening. Wear Light Green.

Thursday~Pisces Moon happily and agreeably aligns with the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Scorpio and also with Uranus in Taurus. The Scorpio trines favor personal relationships and interactions. It's a creative, emotive, compassionate vibe. The sextile with Uranus can bring sudden feelings to the surface and has an element of AHA or other surprise. Something may turn out better than you think! Especially in terms of how it makes you feel. Wear Indigo Blue.

Friday~Pisces Moon offers an interesting day, a meeting with Neptune and another with Jupiter, a square to Mars and sextile to Pluto. Three of these 4 aspects speak of meditation, sensitivity, creativity, healing, and forgiveness. Be gentle, kind and aware of empathy and generosity as it occurs. The square to Mars does bring up trust issues though. Trust your instincts about people and situations. Avoid toxicity, notice if you leave feeling drained and may be in touch with an energy vampire. Take good care of  you and those you have balanced, healthy relationships with. Void of course Moon 6:05 pm to 7:07 pm ET and then the Moon moves to Aries. Saturday~ By now, I think we'll look back and say this has been 'A WEEK'. Hopefully, some surprises are good ones and the shifts are positive. Mars retrograde really can stir up retrograde anger, but also maybe it's a chance to move through a necessary process, to heal or tame some internal issues. Venus opposes Uranus today for relationship eventfulness. Aries Moon with no major aspects. Restart something you have to abandon for a while. Wear Red.

Scorpio Solar Eclipse & New Moon ~ October 23rd-29th Astrology

Sunday ~ Venus and the Sun shift to Scorpio, the water sign with a fiery side. 6:36 am ET is when Scorpio's cycle begins. Babies born before that time are Libra, this year. This is when daylight begins to feel much shorter, the nights may get quite cold, depending where you live. And in a sense this is the beginning of pre-winter. Saturn stationed direct after midnight on this day, in Aquarius. Venus is passionate in Scorpio, and the Sun in Scorpio may bring more focus and long term decisions. Relationships may deepen or dissolve. Commitment, loyalty, and emotional compatibility are themes that arise now. The Solar Eclipse is on Tuesday, and that is Scorpio's New Moon. We are entering a very Scorpio type week, which means depth of feeling and intensity in what we engage in and put our minds to. The Moon is in Libra today with no major aspects. Today's color is Dark Red, like maroon.

Monday ~ Libra Moon aligns with Mars, about to be retrograde, and with Saturn newly direct and still not in forward motion. You may not be sure whether to take action or may not quite be able to act decisively. Connect with your inner wisdom, heart and third eye center if a decision needs to be made now. Otherwise, perhaps put it off. New Moon and the eclipses are about to bring some new information or situations which could change anything determined today. Mercury and the Moon get energy around the pros and cons and discussions about possibilities. Pluto says there may be some inner conflict. Wait for that feeling of yes, or at least for the compromise that suits everyone best. Void Moon 8:36 pm ET until 3:18 am Tuesday. Wear Purple for intuition.

Tuesday ~ Scorpio Solar Eclipse hits at 6:49 am ET. Secrets, privacy, and personal matters are themes of this eclipse. It may also relate to organization, inner drives, strong emotions, and personal relationships and love, romance, and fidelity as Venus is so close to this eclipse! The Moon and Venus combine forces at 8:04 am. All in or all over? This is one effect of the eclipse. Physical and emotional dynamics are at play in the romantic love realm. Re-committing to one another is another effect. Let the one you love know and be reassured.  Some secrets either in business or love will come out in the open post eclipse and in the weeks just ahead. Today's color is White.

Wednesday ~ This is a day and time for sorting out deep feelings, for reflecting on what's been long repressed or pushed to the back of the mind, and for taking care of each other's emotional well being. Intense aspects include the Moon opposite Uranus and square to Saturn, both of which may rattle us or disturb the status quo. Then Mercury and Mars are also aligned and communication could be off the cuff, impulsive, unkind OR possibly dynamic and filled with new ideas. Words and messages are amped up, and Mars is about to leave Gemini with the feeling of impulse to get certain business done. Be thoughtful with your words, responses and anything you're initiating. Make sure it's what you really intend and want. Overreacting can happen on days like this. Thursday ~Scorpio Moon in harmony with Pluto is deeply reflective, inward focused at 12:27 am ET and then the Moon is void of course until 6:55 am ET. Sagittarius Moon aligns with Jupiter favoring education, travel and new opportunities for growth and adventure. Mercury squares Pluto which may lead us to contemplate decisions a bit longer and consider all the options before committing. Jupiter is about to leave Aries for Pisces during this retrograde cycle. Find the balance between enthusiasm and impulsiveness and if it's enthusiasm, give the go ahead! Wear Purple. 

Friday ~ Jupiter retrograde re-enters Pisces at 1:10 am ET. This is a compassionate and compatible place for the planet of growth, fertility and openness. It could be a time of forgiving and second chances att what seem like missed opportunities. Engage in emotionally healthy and healing practices and learning during this cycle. Sagittarius Moon aligns with Saturn newly direct and squares Neptune, both of which happen each month. Inner conflict about priorities, responsibilities and freedom are some effects. Can you follow your bliss and also not let something important slide? Open mind and heart as today brings spontaneity. Wear bright blue, like sapphire.

Saturday ~ Sagittarius Moon opposes Mars in Gemini as Mars last act before a retrograde that starts tomorrow. Avoid irresponsibility, excessiveness especially excessive arrogance, over intellectualizing, overthinking and simply 'going too far' maybe to prove a point. The Moon also engages with Mercury and Jupiter before leaving Sagittarius at 9:21 am ET. Today feels full of shifts as the Moon, void of course only briefly from 9:10 am for 11 minutes, then moves into earth sign Capricorn. This could help stabilize what feels unstable or ungrounded, yet could also feel chilly or impersonal and perhaps anger lingers from any Mars related confrontations yesterday or this morning. I think the positive will override though, as Capricorn Moon aligns with the Sun and Venus in Scorpio. Try to authentically connect either with professional business and relationships or with the people who matter most to you. Sunday ~ Cancer Moon squares Mercury in Libra and forms a trine with Uranus in Taurus at 12:09 am Monday, affecting today as well. This could be an emotionally intense day for some. Having needs met without struggle is a theme and a priority. How can we help someone who's stressed or distressed? Come up with fair plans and compromises. Monday ~ Much the same as yesterday, Cancer Moon rules the day and engages with Uranus, Venus, Neptune, the Sun and Pluto. There's an emotional tone and aspect evident in everything, whether you're in love, creating, reflecting and remembering or very actively doing and producing. Recognize yourself as a body of awareness who feels it all even when it's at a subconscious level, perhaps overshadowed by things you have to do like school, job, and the tasks of life. Wednesday ~ Leo Moon on this day of varied aspects. Some blocks and boundaries may be encountered with today's squares and oppositions For some, something takes more time and energy than expected. There may be conflicts of interest. The Sun squares Pluto pointing out cons as well as potential pros. Our inner process is activated. Sort out what you really want and need. Compromises are necessary, however you don't want to compromise your values and be left feeling badly or drained. Balance is the goal. The Moon opposes Saturn and this can weigh us down. Friday ~ Virgo Moon has been sailing along with no aspects, and this feels like a sorting out time, but in a gentle way. Experimenting, trying a different approach, getting home ready for 'winter', and moving into the darker season gracefully. The word acceptance comes to mind. This is also time for making plans, setting things up to begin near New Moon on Tuesday. And this New Moon in Libra is also a solar eclipse and the first of two eclipses to rattle and stir up necessary changes, remove blocks, and usher in very fresh energy and ideas. Allowing things to be as they are, without pushing, may be the best course for now. The time for action and decisions is coming. Unforeseen information and events will inform those changes. Saturday ~ Saturn stations direct after months of retrograde time. This may be helpful for those around 30 or 60 going through Saturn returns, and for people at the Saturn transit who are 15, 45, and 75  as well. Saturn is in Aquarius, so Aquarians, you may also appreciate the forward movement ahead. Venus and the Sun both move to Scorpio on this transitional day. The energy of release and letting go increases, both for this lunar cycle and for the later autumn season. Traditionally, some cultures considered Halloween, aka Samhain, to be the start of winter. And we are approaching that seasonal shift that draws us to nest, shelter, comforts of home, and our roots. Ending in order to begin again. Sunday, October 9th ~Full Moon in Aries is opposite Venus this year, today at 4:55 pm ET. Saturn is the other planet in closest connection with the Full Moon, and it's an agreeable angle, encouraging forward  movement with important life decisions and goals. This may be the time to start from scratch, let go of an old idea or commitment in favor of a new, more inspiring or expansive one, and a time to put yourself first in some way. If you're burdened and feel held back, examine the reasons, the relationships, and seek ways to satisfy your thirst for newness while honoring other promises. Monday ~ Aries Moon aligns with Mars for many ideas and workings of the mind. Mercury is opposite Jupiter so plans may also not be compatible and opnions may differ enough to delay certain things, like expansion or travel plans. The Moon and planets seem to be saying, 'soften the approach'. Friday ~ Venus aligns with Saturn for relationship and partnership, with decisions leaning toward the serious side. Gemini Moon and agreeable energy with Saturn, Venus, and the Sun. This looks like a day for things being accomplished, decided, and announced. Keep justice, balance and equity at the heart of everything.
