Bigger than a Full Moon: Astrology for November 8th-14th, 2020

Mars stations direct. Mercury moves back to Scorpio, post retrograde. And the biggest conjunction of the year repeats as Jupiter and Pluto arrive at the same degree of Capricorn on November 12th. The week closes with a New Moon and we move toward the first eclipse of this season at the end of the month.

Talk about headlines.

Sunday: Leo Moon aligns with Venus and Mars. This amplifies good feelings, especially in personal relationships. Some may let go of grudges or conflicts. Mars is retrograde so it's a little bit tricky. Notice if you're holding anger and how you process it. If it feels like it's harming your health, causing passive or forward aggression or coming out in bursts, consider options for managing that before it creates avoidable problems or regrettable actions. Focusing now on the positive, these alignments may help us channel feelings into creativity, performing, and also getting along well. The Moon and Sun square today. This is passionate energy that needs an outlet. Also, it's a chance to work through inner conflict or personality differences. Good things can come out of all of this. Wear Gold today.

Monday: Leo Moon aligns with Mercury in Libra. Mercury is direct and more reliable now. This helps with clear communication and friendly interactions or even bigger, long weighed out decisions this morning. Void Moon 6:05 am EST, the time of the conjunction, until 8:30 am EST. Virgo Moon time begins, and later the Moon and Uranus are in harmony for out of the box thinking. Surprise solutions help even when you thought nothing would work. Venus and Mars retrograde are opposite. This challenges couples and partners to find compromise and agreement, even when disagreement is present. Libra and Aries may notice this most. The Sun and Neptune align overnight with a healing influence and an attraction to the mysterious and inexplicable. Wear Navy Blue.

Tuesday: The Sun and Neptune in harmony highlights the spiritual and creative qualities of Scorpio and Pisces. Feel, perceive and intuit. Practice faith and belief in what you cannot see. Honor water and the earth and feel the healing elements present in natural remedies, environments and within yourself. You are water and earth, after all. The Virgo Moon is opposite Neptune and in harmony with the Sun, bringing tangible quality and experience to support all of this. Blend vision with action or sensibility. See what can be done when you add creativity and have faith. Build, make, or improve on something. At 4:55 pm, Mercury enters Scorpio where the retrograde, now over, began in October. Unresolved business, returns and exchanges or changes of mind are likely this week. Later, the Moon aligns with Jupiter, then Pluto, the two that meets on Thursday in a highly significant 2020 conjunction, one of the astrological events of the year. Foreshadows and initiations of that event come tonight and overnight into Wednesday. Today's color is Green.

Wednesday: We are really in the midst of this Jupiter/Pluto meeting though the exact time is Thursday at 4:39 pm. Growth-really significant amplification-is one effect. The downside of this is the virus and potential peak spread now. We are already in it and this conjunction expands what we cannot see, such as Pluto governed viruses. Flu is also something to watch out for, though if you're wearing a mask or working at home and avoiding unnecessary indoor gatherings, you are probably at less risk this year. The promise of Jupiter and Pluto is transformation through bringing hidden and deep things to the surface. We've been experiencing that all year, through the awakening to systemic racism and other systemic issues. Those are Pluto territory. Jupiter brings it all up and into it's fullness and it is only then that we can resolve, heal, improve and grow spiritually. Jupiter also offers abundance, truth, and opportunities to fulfill potential. This conjunction speaks to how the universe works in mysterious ways. This third meeting of the two planets is closure, the final word, action and occurrence. How we follow this lead helps determine how we enter the Aquarian emphasis (some call it the Age of Aquarius) just ahead, in the new year. The Moon enters Libra, sign of justice, at 11:09 am EST. Lean toward objectivity, weighing pros and cons, and acting in total honesty and fairness in all dealings, even within yourself. Today's color is Indigo.

Thursday: Libra Moon. Jupiter and Pluto meet. Re-read yesterdays forecast as it all applies. The Moon opposes Mars retro in Aries and meets Venus in Libra for a continuation of personal interactions, relationship matters, connections, and problem solving earlier this week. Some themes are self versus partnership, self interest versus collaboration, and being emotionally childlike or impulsive versus intentional and able to manage emotions in a mature way. Jupiter and Pluto meet for spiritual and widespread transformation, healing, and wisdom to light the darkness. Truth grows and comes into the light. These planets now have met three times in 2020. The last meeting was in December 2007 and the next will be February 2033. Meeting three times in one year is rare for these planets, and 2020 has been uncommon to say the least. Today is a turning point. Our color is Violet.

Friday: Libra Moon squares Pluto and Jupiter (the planets prominently influencing 2020). For us, this is about reconciling our feelings, acting justly and sensibly even when our emotions and external events are challenging to manage and process. You are under the influence of and being affected by enormous transformation. One thing we need to surrender to and honor relates to control and how humans do not control events or the earth and space. Nature's power reigns. Thinking that we can intellectually or psychologically control things will never work. In your personal life, tend to conflicts that have only grown and see if you can find some peace or new awareness within. The Moon goes on to square Saturn, finishing with the Capricorn based planets for this month. Agreements made be made but will require effort, compromise, partnership and maturity. This all happens before the day truly begins for most of us, at 6:32 am when the Moon moves void of course until 11:19 am EST.  The Moon enters Scorpio then, and goes on to meet Mercury at a degree they shared earlier this fall. Unfinished business may come up for resolution. Put intention into your communications. We'll tend to verbalize our feelings or write them. Some communication will come across as strong, powerful and emotional. Mars, one of Scorpio's ruling planets, stations direct in Aries at 7:36 pm EST (thank God that's over.). Hopefully, some will have learned to channel anger differently or resolved agitating emotions. Mars is action, violence, war, bravery, unrest, initiation, and as you can see there are opposites and positives/negatives as all planets (and all things) can demonstrate and hold as qualities or effects. Have we learned that aggression doesn't serve us? Will we ever end wars in favor of peace, which is easier and more natural? Today's color is Maroon.

Saturday: The Moon opposes Uranus in Taurus. This feels stubborn and uneasy. Awakening is not always easy or wanted. Once you know, or wake up, you can't un-know or go back. Events and experiences are likely to lead to more depth and understanding. A conversation, accident or unplanned event, or sudden inner storm means deconstruction to re-create with this Scorpio New Moon. The Sun meets Pluto and Jupiter for an expansion and more full response and expression of the conjunction of those two planets this week. New Moon is exact Sunday at 12:07 am EST. I am including that here and also a Sunday forecast because it all blends. You might feel momentum or one shift after another. Practice soothing emotions in healthy ways. The Moon aligns with Pluto tonight, followed by Jupiter and Saturn in the hours ahead.  New Moon at 9:07 pm Pacific time. Today's color is White.

Sunday:  Scorpio Moon aligns with Jupiter overnight after meeting Pluto last night. Our inner responses awaken and stir. Some will want alone time, and others will need support and to process out loud. The aspect is in harmony so those things may develop or be found easily. The Moon then aligns with Saturn in a very serious, intentional and wise way. The feeling is like knowing what you have to do even if you have avoided it. Surrender and actively participate, at once. Take the action and make the commitment now. New Moon at 12:07 am EST is a Moon of emotional depth, digging in for answers and enlightenment, and for letting go of grudges and destructive tendencies. There will be about this day and New Moon more in next week's forecast. This will at least give you insight to get started and move forward or release. Our color today is Blue.
